Her relational and experiential approach supports nervous system regulation, embodied connection, and sustainable change in mind, body, and spirit.

Hi, I'm Stacey Bouffard
I'm a licensed psychologist with
experience in holistic wellness
I believe each of us carries an innate ability to heal.
Stress and trauma can interrupt our natural healing process, leaving us stuck in survival patterns. I work with you to move beyond old, limiting patterns so you can create the life you most want to live now. My approach is whole-person focused and highly individualized, integrating multiple empirically-supported healing modalities within a supportive, compassionate therapeutic relationship.
Together, we create the space for healing, growth, and lasting change.

What are you ready to heal?
i specialize in supporting adults who are navigating:
-
Traumatic stress and the impact of unresolved experiences
-
Chronic stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm
-
Anxiety and dysregulation in the nervous system
-
Depression and low mood
-
Medically unexplained somatic symptoms
-
Feelings of disconnection from self, body, or purpose
-
Difficulties with communicating and relating to others
-
Life transitions and identity shifts
Guided by a philosophy of healing
therapy with intention
Healing involves both the mind and the body, and I integrate approaches that support both. Some of our work focuses on the “top-down” processes—your thoughts, beliefs, values, and the meanings you make of your experiences. This helps bring clarity, insight, and choice to patterns that may have felt automatic in the past. At the same time, we also work from the “bottom-up,” at times paying attention to sensations, implicit information, and the ways your nervous system responds to stress as well as cues of safety. This trauma-informed approach supports a more regulated and resilient nervous system, in turn serving as a flexible foundation for the kind of values-driven action that creates a meaningful life and greater capacity for connection, joy, and ease.

Therapeutic Modalities
Tailored Support
Integrative psychotherapy weaves together complementary, scientifically supported theories and therapeutic practices into a cohesive framework for healing. More than the sum of its parts, this approach honors the multidimensional nature of human experience and the many pathways through which healing unfolds. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on extensive training and experience across numerous modalities to tailor an approach that is both effective and responsive to your unique needs.
Some of the specific practices I utilize to support this philosophy of healing include:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Open to life in the present moment, and do more of what matters
ACT is an experiential mindfulness-based therapy that helps you identify your values, make space for difficult emotions, and take meaningful action aligned with what matters most. ACT helps you get "unstuck" by supporting greater psychological flexibility and intentional living.
Somatic-Oriented Approaches
Tune in to the wisdom of your body
Somatic-oriented approaches bring awareness to the body's sensations and patterns to support nervous system regulation. Somatic work helps you expand capacity while reconnecting with your body as a source of wisdom, grounding, and healing.
EMDR
Loosen the grip of the past on your present
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an empirically-supported, trauma-responsive method that helps the brain and body reprocess overwhelming experiences, reducing emotional distress and supporting integration of fragmented experience. EMDR is a powerful but often gentle way to help you to move through unresolved experiences with greater ease and clarity.
Clinical Hypnosis
Access inner resources for profound change
A focused, collaborative process that uses guided attention to access inner strengths, shift unhelpful patterns, and support change at a deep, experiential level. Hypnosis creates new neural connections to help you enact change in your life.

“The body has been designed to renew itself through continuous self-correction. These same principles also apply to the healing of psyche, spirit, and soul.”
-Peter Levine, developer of Somatic Experiencing
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
I offer individual in-person psychotherapy services for adults at my office in the historic West University neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona and HIPAA-compliant telehealth to clients located in Arizona and all participating PsyPact states.
Healing is not one-size-fits-all. You may come for:
-
Short-term work to address a specific concern
-
Long-term therapy to explore deeper patterns
-
Periodic support during new phases of growth
My intentionally small, private pay practice allows me to offer longer, more flexible sessions when needed and highly individualized care. Most clients find 90-minute sessions to be the "sweet spot" to settle in, do the deeper work, and close intentionally without feeling rushed, while others find 60-minute sessions to be a strong and supportive fit. Ninety-minute sessions are $250, and 60-minute sessions are $180. Limited sliding scale appointments may be available-- please inquire if cost is a barrier. I can also provide you with a superbill if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier, but I do not bill insurance directly.
